The ligaments that connect the bones are stretched or partially torn due to the acute, sudden impact, resulting in wrist strain or sprain. A chronic wrist injury such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is caused by repetitive irritations due to overuse where the tendons become inflamed.
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
- Wrist Sprain/Strains: Pain with movement or unable to move and tender with swelling over the wrist.
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Pain with over use, a tingling, or numbness sensation when using.
