Hip pain, also known as sacroiliac (SI) joint injury, is located when the spinal column attaches the the pelvis. Some causes of SI joint dysfunction are pregnancy, weak core, joint laxity, muscle imbalance, exercising or contact sports.
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
Individuals will have a functional leg length discrepancy, which means one leg is longer than the other. Individuals will complain of low back pain which at times will radiate to the groin or hips. The pain will worsen when rolling out of bed, getting up from a low surface or climbing stairs.
